First United Methodist Church of Oak Park is located in the Historical District of Oak Park at 324 N. Oak Park Avenue at the corner of Oak Park and Superior Avenues. We are directly across from the Ernest Hemingway birthplace and a few blocks east of the Frank Lloyd Wright home.
  • Visitors are encouraged to park in a "reserved zone" on Superior Street alongside the chapel sanctuary. This "reserved zone" borders the designated space for vehicles with a handicap hangtag, sticker, or plate. Additional parking for members and others is available along Superior, Oak Park, and Euclid Avenues, as well as other streets close to the church. Please observe the street signs to avoid ticketing and fines.
  • The Church is easily reached via public transportaion. The CTA Green Line train runs four blocks south of the church. For CTA Schedules, please visit the CTA website.

  • We are wheel-chair accessible. Please enter at the "Tower Entrance" which is to the right of the main front door entrance on Oak Park Ave. The ramp is between the sanctuary and the park / playground area.
